They attract clients by showing extremely low and attractive rates online, however these only apply if you have your own insurance which most people do not. Once this cost is added the rates are not any lower than the other big brand rental agencies. Also they will find any way to add more fees after the return. In summary; they provide a good service however they price bait by showing artificially low prices. Also make sure to not get any tickets otherwise they will charge you double the fine and fill the gas up to the absolute max and take a picture afterwards otherwise they will try to charge you some additional amount.

August 2023 I rented a car from Globe Car for 5 days for $1487.99 + sales taxes. Not exactly a 'deal' so I expected a smooth experience. When I picked up the car it was dirty on the outside AND inside. Bird poop all over, stains on the seats, sand everywhere, dirty windows inside and outside, food stains on the dashboard, just to name a few things. I had to pick up VIP clients and felt ashamed to drive them around in such a dirty car. I called Globe Car and send them 18 pictures as proof, but I did not receive a response. After emailing them again they reimbursed me $50 on the total amount. I found this to be a joke as it didn't even cover the expenses for me to have the car cleaned. I emailed Globe Car several times after, but they NEVER responded to any of my messages. Globe Car DOES NOT take responsibility for their mistakes and frankly, they DON'T CARE about their clients. I won't rent at Globe Car again, ever.

The service was highly disappointing as they kept me waiting for an additional half an hour despite having all my documents prepared. They refused to process my request, claiming that my driver's license was invalid. Upon double-checking, I found that my license was indeed valid, leaving me thoroughly unsatisfied with their service.

I booked a last minute reservation for next day use of a cargo van as I was moving given that uhaul messed up my reservation with them. I've come to find out that they have the cheapest rentals even for under 25 age drivers. Now I'm planning a roadtrip using their car rentals as they are the cheapest. There's even free cancellation before the date of reservation and no upfront payments when booking.

I used to rent from Globe Car Rental all the time. I used to love as they were not a huge coloriage company. It used to feel very friendly, small family owned business who actually treated people as human. However for the first time in a few years, I rented a car from Globe Car Rental and I was very disappointed. The car was given to me completely dirty from the back. I was given the key and told I could pick it up from the garage, no walk-around to make sure no scratches or introduction to the vehicle. I tried to call them on January 1st and the company was closed… like I couldn’t speak to any human at all. I found this very odd. I compared it to a hotel that didn’t offer housekeeping service January 1st because it was a holiday. The automatic message said I could adjust my reservation online however when i tried it, it gave me error messages… The next day, I called and they said if I returned it 4 hours later, I would need to pay for an additional week… when I tried to explain to them that that does not make any sense and that there must be some mistake, they told me well that’s what the system is saying and there is nothing we can do about it. I had spoken to two different agents who both did not want to help me even though they knew it was weird. When I finally spoke to a manager, she would interrupt me and not let me speak. She also raised her voice at me and told me I signed a contract and there is nothing she can do. Eventually I explained to her that if she removed the “weekly Discounts” and charged me per day it would be obviously cheaper. She insisted it wouldn’t be but when she tried it in her system it was indeed cheaper. (No apologies). I’m very disappointed but also very sad as this used to be my favourite car rental company.

My first time renting a car, unsure that i need to fill up the gas before returning it, as I found no clauses in the contract that I signed. (There is one seperate agreement mentioning it, but it's really hidden, the website didn't mention it too). Either way, i got charged $2.75 per liter, totaling $146 (hyundai elantra, which i rented, only got 50 liters of fuel tank, and i return it with 1/5 remaining, do the math). This is a red flag and best to avoid.
